KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its Men’s Golfer of the Week for the fifth week of the 2023 Spring season.
 
MIAA Golfer of the Week – Marius Dosiere – Missouri Western    
Marius Dosiere became just the second-ever Griffon to win two invites in his freshman year, taking first place at The Mule earlier this week. Dosiere carded 5-under par, totaling a score of 205 (70, 65, 70). The Griffon newcomer also tallied a season-low score of 65 in round two of the event which also doubles as the lowest round by any Missouri Western men’s golfer this season.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Alex Gentry – Central Missouri
Alex Gentry led his team to a victory early this week at The Mule in Warrenburg, Mo. Gentry finished the tournament tied for fifth, shooting a three-round total of 1-over par, 211 (71, 70, 70). Gentry shot two rounds of even par, one of which was on the last day with high winds that were gusting up to 30 mph. He also contributed to the team playoff, which sealed the victory for the Mules.
 
Evan Griffith – Central Oklahoma
Evan Griffith led the Bronchos to a third-place team finish at the Mule earlier this week in Warrensburg, Mo. The junior closed the event with a 1-over-par 71 to tie for fifth at 211 (70, 70, 71). Griffith led all golfers on par threes with a birdie average on the course.
