2022-23 MIAA Men's Golfers of the Week (Week 1, Week 2)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA announced its third men’s golfer of the week for the 2022 fall season. Six MIAA team competed in Missouri Southern’s Fall Invitational will Fort Hays State’s Maddux Mill leading the field of MIAA competitors.
 
MIAA Golfer of the Week – Maddux Mills – Fort Hays State  
Maddux Mills finished third out of 100 golfers at the 2022 MSSU Men's Fall Invitational this week at Shangri-La Golf Club & Resort, a par-72, 6,876-yard course. The Tigers sophomore finished with a 54-hole score of -4, 212 following rounds of 73, 67 and 72. Mills led the field with 15 birdies while also leading the way in par-3 scoring at 3-under for the week. His second-round score of 67 is the lowest score on record for a Tiger in at least 11 years. Fort Hays State placed 10th overall with a three-round team total of +44, 908.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Evan Griffith – Central Oklahoma
Evan Griffith finished in a tie for 10th in the individual standings with a 54-hole score of +2, 218 at the MSSU Fall Invitational. The junior’s outing was highlighted by a -5, 67 in the final 18 of the invitationals. He also led the Bronchos with 10 birdies. Griffith helped UCO to a fourth-place team finish with a total score of +9, 873. The Bronchos were the highest-finishing MIAA team in the competition.
 
Tradgon McCrae – Missouri Southern
Tradgon McCrae led the way for the Lions as they hosted the MSSU Fall Invitational. Playing on his home course, McCrea finished tied for 14th with a 54-hole total of +5, 221 (73, 73, 75). McCrae had three birdies over the final 18 holes.
 
Christoffer Rudosky – Missouri Western
Christoffer Rudosky finished in a tie for 14th at the MSSU Fall Invitational with a three-round score of +5, 221 (73, 70, 78). Rudosky led the field with 38 total pars and collected six total birdies.
