KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Wrestler of the Week for the eighth week of competition in the 2022-23 season.
MIAA Wrestler of the Week – Lee Herrington – Nebraska Kearney
Lee Herrington helped lead No. 2-ranked Nebraska Kearney to its first MIAA dual win of the season with a 36-3 victory over Newman. Currently ranked the top heavyweight in Division II, Herrington won by fall in just 35 seconds to give the Lopers a quick six points against the Jets. The redshirt sophomore is now 16-2 on the season.

Garrett Steidley – Central Oklahoma
Garrett Steidley had a first period fall in No. 3-ranked Central Oklahoma’s 36-0 shutout of Colorado State-Pueblo. The 125-pound redshirt freshman bumped up to 133 for the dual and scored the fall at the 2:50 mark of the opening period to give the Bronchos an early spark in their 13th-straight home win.
