KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its final Track and Field Athletes of the Week from the 2025-26 women’s indoor season, presented by Beynon – the official track surface of the MIAA. Central Missouri’s Grizell Scarlett was named the Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the Jennies’ first weekly honor of the season and Pittsburg State’s Cannon Booker became the fourth Gorillas to earn the Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award this season.

INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Grizell Scarlett, Central Missouri
Grizell Scarlett won the women's 60-meter dash at the University of Arkansas Qualifier last Friday (Feb. 20) with a provisional qualifying and personal best time of 7.25. Her time broke her previous UCM indoor school record set earlier this season, ranks first in NCAA Division II this season, and is tied for the ninth-fastest 60-meter time in NCAA Division II history. Scarlett was also named the USTFCCCA Division II National Athlete of the Week on Feb. 23.

INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Cannon Booker, Pittsburg State
Cannon Booker became the third Pitt State pole vaulter to climb into the top seven nationally in the pole vault following her performance at the University of Arkansas Qualifier last Friday (Feb. 20). The Cypress, Texas, native cleared 13 feet, 7.25 inches (4.15 meters) to place third in the meet behind a professional athlete and a Division I competitor. Her personal best mark ranks her seventh on the Division II leaderboard, joining Gorillas teammates Isabelle Peters (2nd, 13-11.25) and Breanne Peters (4th, 13-10.5) among the national leaders.

NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES:
Paige Mullen, Pittsburg State
Paige Mullen shattered her own Pitt State record in the 3,000 meters with a personal best performance at the Arkansas Qualifier Friday (Feb. 20). The Shawnee, Kan., native won the race in a field of mostly NCAA Division I athletes in a fast time of 9 minutes, 27.56 seconds. She currently ranks 12th in NCAA Division II in the discipline.

Stella Agbokpah, Emporia State
At the Northwest Tune Up last weekend, Stella Agbokpah became the first Hornet to run under 24 seconds in the 200 meters, winning the event in a time of 23.88 to break her previous mark of 24.06 set two weeks ago at the Bearcat Invite. It is a provisional qualifier that ranks fourth in Division II this season. She also had provisional marks in both the prelims and finals of the 60 meters. She ran 7.60 in the prelims and finished second with a time of 7.61 in the finals.

NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES:
Annabeth Baalmann, Fort Hays State
Annabeth Baalmann put together her second-best performance of the season in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 13 feet, 10 inches (4.22 meters) on her first attempt at the Steve Miller Invitational last Friday. That national-qualifying performance would rank fifth in Division II this season were it not for her school-record clearance of 14-1.25 (4.30 meters) set in December, which is still second best in the country this season.

Michenainda Aritus, Central Missouri
Michenainda Aritus posted the second-best mark in UCM’s indoor history in the women's long at the Arkansas Qualifier last Friday, jumping a provisional and personal best 6.13 meters (20-01.50). Her mark was just 0.25 inches shy of tying the indoor school record and ranks seventh in Division II this season.
