New MIAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Presented by Beynon

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its fourth Track and Field Athletes of the Week from the 2025-26 women’s indoor season, presented by Beynon – the official track surface of the MIAA. Pittsburg State swept this week’s honors with Blakelee Winn named the Track Athlete of the Week and Belle Peters honored as the Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight week.
 
INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Blakelee Winn, Pittsburg State
Blakelee Winn clocked a season-best time of 8.50 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles while winning the event at the PSU Invitational last Saturday (Jan. 31) at the Robert W. Plaster Center. Her time ranks No. 10 nationally in that event. Winn also set a new Pitt State record and posted the No. 5 mark in NCAA Division II this season in winning the long jump. The Pea Ridge, Ark. native recorded a best jump of 20 feet, 2.5 inches (6.16 meters) in the discipline.
 
INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Belle Peters, Pittsburg State
Belle Peters, the reigning MIAA Field Athlete of the Week, improved her No. 2 mark in NCAA Division II this season with her winning performance in the pole vault at the PSU Invitational Saturday (Jan. 31) at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The Lindsborg, Kan., native won the competition with a season-best clearance of 13 feet, 11.25 inches (4.25 meters).
 
NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES:
Lexie Fontaine, Washburn
Lexie Fontaine finished fourth for the Ichabods at the Washburn Open in the mile, shattering the school record with a time of 4:50.67. The mark was a personal best, an NCAA provisional qualifier, and ranks No. 11 in NCAA Division II this season.
 
Stella Agbokpah, Emporia State
Stella Agbokpah ran a provisional qualifier of 24.51 to place seventh in the women's 200 meters.  Her time is the second fastest women's 200-meter time in Emporia State history, behind her own school record of 24.43 set earlier this season that currently ranks 18th in the nation. Agbokpah also ran 7.63 in the women's 60-meter semifinals to tie her personal best time, which ranks second all-time for Emporia State.
 
Emily McCullough, Fort Hays State
Emily McCullough broke the school record in the 5,000m run with a time of 16:49.86 at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, Mass., ranking 22nd on the Division II national qualifying list this season.
 
NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES:
Dailynn VanDeren, Missouri Southern
Dailynn VanDeren led the Lions in the throws at the Pittsburg State Invitational, sweeping the women's weight throw and shot put, both with NCAA qualifying marks. VanDeren registered a career-best weight throw mark of 19.84 meters (65-1.25), which improves her second all-time mark in MSSU school history. She also captured the shot put title at the invitational with a throw of 15.49 meters (50-10). VanDeren ranks second in Division II for shot put and fifth overall nationally in the weight throw. She has now won all six indoor competitions this 2025-26 season.
 
Katie Linenberger, Fort Hays State
Katie Linenberger finished first in the high jump at the Charlie Foster Classic after soaring over the bar at 5-10 (1.78 meters) on her third and final attempt. That national-qualifying mark is good for fourth in Division II this season. The freshman is undefeated in competition so far this season, placing first all three times she has competed.
 
Naiuri Krein, Washburn
Naiuri Krein placed second in the heptathlon at the Washburn Open with 3,729 points, 16 points behind the winner, for an NCAA provisional total. Krein's day included a second-place shot put (12.93 meters), a 5.52-meter long jump, a 2:26.66 800 meters and a 9.11 in the hurdles.
