KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its second Track and Field Athletes of the Week from the 2025-26 women’s indoor season, presented by Beynon – the official track surface of the MIAA. Northwest Missouri’s Kennedi Cline was named the Track Athlete of the Week and Missouri Southern’s Dailynn VanDeren was named the Field Athlete of the Week.

INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Kennedi Cline, Northwest Missouri
Bearcat sophomore Kennedi Cline notched a pair of NCAA Division II provisional marks at the 2026 Coach Alsup Invite, hosted by the Bearcats at the Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville, Mo. Cline placed second in the 200 meters with a provisional time of 24.36, missing out on first place by .01 seconds. Her time of 24.36 ranks as the No. 8 time in the nation and is the fourth-best time in Northwest school history. Cline was also a member of the Bearcats’ 4x400-meter relay team that produced a time of 3:49.80, which ranks No. 13 in the nation. The quartet of Cline, Marie Dea, Jadyn Barnes and Kendall Tietjen took first place at the Alsup Invite.

INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Dailynn VanDeren, Missouri Southern
Dailynn VanDeren won both the shot put and weight throw at Washburn’s Rust Buster meet last Friday, Jan. 16. The Bolivar, Missouri, native registered meet record throws in both events to secure titles. VanDeren has now placed first in all four competitions she has competed in the 2025-26 indoor season. She won the weight throw with a mark of 19.01 meters (62-4.5) to set a new Rust Buster meet record. She then capped the day with a victory in the shot put with another meet record mark of 15.84 meters (51-11.75). VanDeren ranks second in NCAA Division II for shot put and sixth for weight throw.

NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES:
Kassidy Stuckey, Nebraska Kearney
Kassidy Stuckey broke her own school record in the mile by nearly four seconds, running a 4:52.92 on Friday (Jan. 16) at the Graduate Classic in Nebraska. She was the top non-Division I finisher in the race, placing sixth out of 23 runners. Stuckey’s mile time now ranks first in the MIAA and No. 10 in Division II so far this season.

Kereser Augustin, Washburn
Kereser Augustin captured the individual title in the 300-meter at the Washburn Rust Buster in a school-record time of 39.20 seconds, breaking her own personal best.

NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES:
Annabeth Baalmann, Fort Hays State
Annabeth Baalmann placed first in the pole vault competition at the Washburn Rust Buster, winning with a top mark of 4.15 meters (13-7.25). The senior entered the competition after every other athlete was already out, first clearing the bar at 13-1.5. Her performance would be ranked fourth in the country this season were it not for her school-record clearance of 4.30 meters (14-1.25) set earlier this season (Dec. 12).

Michenainda Aritus won the women's long jump at the Coach Richard Alsup Open on Saturday (Jan. 17) in Maryville, Mo., with a provisional and personal-best-tying mark of 5.99 meters (19-08.00).
