KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its third Track and Field Athletes of the Week from the 2025-26 women’s indoor season, presented by
Beynon – the official track surface of the MIAA. Northwest Missouri’s Kennedi Cline was named the Track Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, and Pittsburg State’s Belle Peters was named the Field Athlete of the Week.
INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Kennedi Cline, Northwest Missouri
Northwest Missouri sophomore Kennedi Cline put up the nation's top time in the 200 meters and the fourth-best mark in the 400 meters at the Rumble in the Jungle held in Pittsburg Kan., last Friday (Jan. 23), placing first in both events. Cline's time of 24.10 in the 200 meters is the best Division II mark in the 2025-26 indoor season. It also ranks as the fourth-best time in Bearcat school history. Cline notched 54.38 seconds in the 400 meters to claim the nation's fourth-best time this year, which also ranks as the sixth-best time in Bearcat school history. She has produced three NCAA Division II provisional times so far this year in the 200-meter, 400-meter and 4x400-meter relay.
INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Belle Peters, Pittsburg State
Belle Peters posted the second-best mark in NCAA Division II this season with her winning clearance of 13 feet, 9.75 inches (4.21 meters) at the Rumble in the Jungle D2 Invitational last Friday (Jan. 23) at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The redshirt senior from Lindsborg, Kan., is a five-time All-America performer in the discipline.
NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES:
Paige Mullen, Pittsburg State
Paige Mullen clocked in the sixth-fastest 3000-meter time in NCAA Division II at the Rumble in the Jungle D2 Invitational last Friday (Jan. 23) at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The redshirt junior from Overland Park, Kan., finished in 9 minutes, 35.76 seconds to win the race, setting a new meet record in the process.
Amy Morefield, Rogers State
Amy Morefield finished third in the women's 3000-meter race at the Rumble in the Jungle D2 Invitational, setting a Rogers State school record with an impressive NCAA Division II provisional time of 9:42.86.
NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES:
Dailynn VanDeren, Missouri Southern
Dailynn VanDeren swept the women's weight throw (19.37 meters) and shot put (16.09 meters), both with NCAA qualifying marks, at Pitt State’s 2026 Rumble in the Jungle D2 Challenge. The junior thrower has now won all six events she has competed in this indoor season. She captured the weight throw title with a personal-best distance of 63-6.75 (19.37 meters), which ranks second all-time in MSSU program history with the mark. VanDeren also won the shot put with a throw of 52-9.5 (16.09 meters) on Friday in Pittsburg. Both performances from the week rank within Division II’s top five marks this season.
Annabeth Baalmann, Fort Hays State
Annabeth Baalmann finished second in the pole vault competition at the Rumble in the Jungle Invite last Friday (Jan. 23), clearing the 13-5.75 (4.11 meters) bar on her first attempt. That performance would be good for fifth in Division II, if not for her season-best clearance of 14-1.25 (4.30 meters) set last month, which continues to lead the country.
