KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its fourth Track and Field Athletes of the Week from the 2025-26 women’s indoor season, presented by Beynon – the official track surface of the MIAA. Emporia State’s Stella Agbokpah was named the MIAA Track Athlete of the Week for the first time this season, and Missouri Southern’s Dailynn VanDeren was named the MIAA Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Stella Agbokpah, Emporia State
Stella Agbokpah had two provisional qualifier times and a school record last Saturday (Feb. 7) at the Bearcat Invite in Maryville, Mo. The true freshman broke her own school record in the 200-meter with a time of 24.06 to place second in the race. Her time is the top time in the MIAA and is the sixth-quickest 200-meter time in Division II this season. Her second NCAA provisional time came in the prelims of the 60 meters. Agbokpah ran 7.63 to tie her second-best mark in ESU history before finishing sixth with a time of 7.66 in the 60-meter finals.

INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Dailynn VanDeren, Missouri Southern
Dailynn VanDeren captured both the shot put and weight throw titles at Missouri Southern’s 2026 Lion Open last weekend in Joplin. The junior thrower won the shot put competition with a career-best 16.71 meters (54-10), improving her own Missouri Southern school record. The mark ranks No. 2 in NCAA Division II for shot put this season. VanDeren also won the weight throw with a distance of 19.52 meters (64-0.5). The distance would be good for the sixth-best mark in Division II, if she didn’t already have the fifth-best weight throw mark this season. VanDeren has now won all 10 events she has competed in this indoor season.

NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES:
Marie Dea, Northwest Missouri
Marie Dea landed a trio of NCAA Division II provisional marks in the 800 meters, distance medley relay and the 4x400-meter relay. Dea teamed up with Anjelena Carder, Jadyn Barnes and Kennedi Cline to post the nation's third-best time in the 4x400-meter relay at the Bearcat Invite. The quartet clocked in at 3:43.10 to win the Bearcat Invite title. Dea also joined Lydia McGlocklin, Kennedi Cline and Kiki Witt in notching the nation's sixth-best time in the distance medley relay (11:38.82) Friday at the Bearcat Invite. Individually, Dea delivered the nation's 12th-best time in the 800 meters with a clocking of 2:09.53 at the Bearcat Invite.

Lexie Fontaine, Washburn
Lexie Fontaine won the 800 meters at the Bearcat Invite in a time of 2:08.58, breaking the meet record and Washburn's program record. The time was nearly a full second faster than the second-place finisher, the seventh-best in the NCAA Division II ranks this season, and the fastest in the MIAA this season.

NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES:
Annabeth Baalmann, Fort Hays State
Annabeth Baalmann placed first in the pole vault competition at the Bearcat Invite on Friday (Feb. 6) after clearing the bar at 13-6.25 (4.12 meters) on her first attempt. That mark would rank sixth in Division II this season, however, the senior's top performance of 14-1.25 set in December still ranks No. 1 in the country.

Lily Brown, Pittsburg State
Lily Brown recorded the seventh-highest point total in NCAA Division II this season in the pentathlon at the 50th Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Friday (Feb. 6) at the Bob Devaney Center. The Pittsburg native recorded a season best 3,746 points in the multi events.
