KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced a new Golfer of the Week award winner for week three of the 2026 spring season. Nine MIAA teams were in action last week, with teams competing in Arizona, California, Nevada and Missouri. Central Missouri’s Ansley Giesselmann was the only MIAA golfer to be crowned individual champion, earning this week’s Golfer of the Week honor.

MIAA WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Ansley Giesselmann, Central Missouri
Ansley Giesselmann led No. 36-ranked Central Missouri to a team title at the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational, hosted by Drury University on March 18. The Jennies’ freshman earned individual medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 151 (+7). Giesselmann paced the field from start to finish, carding a 75 (+3) in the first round and a 76 (+4) in the final round to secure the win and anchor the Jennies’ first-place team finish (623, +47). Her performance helped UCM finish ahead of Northwest Missouri and William Jewell in the 10-team competitive field. Giesselmann’s consistency and composure under pressure were key in both her individual victory and the Jennies’ team success, marking her first collegiate win and a standout showing for Central Missouri.
