Central Missouri's CJ Phillips Named Final Men's Golfer of the Week in 2025 Fall Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its second Men’s Golfer of the Week in the 2025 season. Nine MIAA men’s golf teams concluded their 2025 fall seasons earlier this week, competing in tournaments hosted in Oklahoma and Texas. Central Missouri’s CJ Phillips was the top MIAA performer of the week, tying for first place at the Tulsa Cup.
 
MIAA MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: CJ Phillips, Central Missouri  
CJ Phillips led the Mules to the team title at the Tulsa Cup, hosted by Rogers State at the Indian Springs Country Club in Broken Arrow, Okla. Phillips, a junior from Edmond, Okla., tied for first place, carding a three-round total of 208 (-8). Phillips opened the tournament with a 7 1(-1) and recorded his best 18-hole score in round two with a 67 (-5) before closing with a 70 (-2). He led the field of 100 on par 3s (2.75 average) and par 5s (4.5 average) to pace the Mules to a 12-under finish in their fall season finale.
 
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
Mason White, Pittsburg State
Mason White finished the Tulsa Cup (Oct. 27-28) tied for fifth overall with a final card of 211 (-5) over the 54-holes to lead the Gorillas to a third-place team finish at the Indian Springs G.C. in Broken Arrow, Okla. The Rowlett, Texas native, collected 12 birdies and finished 37 holes at par. On par 4s, White averaged 3.90 (-3), tied for the second-best average among the 100 individuals competing. Among his teammates, White leads the Gorillas with four top-20 finishes this fall and has recorded back-to-back top-10 finishes (9th at MSSU Invite, T-5th at Tulsa Cup).

Baylor Bostick, Central Oklahoma
Baylor Bostick finished sixth individually at the DBU Classic in Rockwall, Texas, to lead Central Oklahoma to the runner-up team finish in the final fall tournament of the season. The junior finished with a 54-hole total of 214 (-2). He started with an even-par 72 through Monday’s first round and shot a 71 (-1) in the second round. On Tuesday, the Duncan native shot another 71 (-1) to finish the tournament. This week, Bostick made seven birdies to counter five bogeys and sank 42 par putts.
