Central Oklahoma's Baylor Bostick Named Back-to-Back MIAA Golfer of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its second Men’s Golfer of the Week in the 2025 season. All 11 MIAA golf teams were in Afton, Okla., earlier this week to compete in Missouri Southern’s Fall Invitational – the second MIAA designated event of the fall season. Baylor Bostick of Central Oklahoma won the event to be crowned the MIAA Golfer of the Week for the second consecutive week of consideration.
 
MIAA MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Baylor Bostick, Central Oklahoma
Baylor Bostick won his first career tournament, taking top honors with a 4-under-par 212 while helping the Bronchos to the team title this week at the MSSU Fall Invitational, hosted at the Shangri La Resort in Afton, Okla. The junior from Duncan had finished third three times and second place once before earning his first career victory on Tuesday. Bostick shot a 73 (+1) on Monday and responded with a big 67 (-5) in the second round. In Tuesday’s final round, he played even-par through 18 holes to get the win. Bostick sank 12 birdie putts in the event. The team victory is the Bronchos’ third win of the season.
 
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
Tyler Hardtarfer, Pittsburg State
Tyler Hardtarfer placed third at the MSSU Fall Invitational with a three-round total of 215 (1-). The sophomore opened the event with a 73 (+1) before scoring back-to-back rounds of 71 (-1) to lead the Gorillas to a fourth-place finish overall. Hardtarfer totaled 12 birdies and had one eagle in the event.
 
Jacob Fratzel, Washburn
Jacob Fratzel led the Ichabods to a runner-up finish at the MSSU Fall Invitational with a fourth-place finish individually. The freshman scored rounds of 77 (+5), 71 (-1) and 69 (-3) to finish the event with a total score of 217 (+1). The fourth-place finish is Fratzel’s best finish in his young collegiate career.
