New MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week, Presented by ClassicCourt

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced new MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week for week four of the 2026 season, presented by ClassicCourt – the official tennis surface of the MIAA. Nebraska Kearney’s Jakub Strzelecki was named the Athlete of the Week in the North Division and Harding’s Sebastian De Las Salas was named the Athlete of the Week in the South Division.
 
NORTH DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Jakub Strzelecki, Nebraska Kearney       
Jakub Strzelecki, a junior lefty, won at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles to help Nebraska Kearney win its fourth straight dual with a 6-1 victory over St. Mary’s. He and freshman Cesare Carpano rallied from several deficits to win 7-6 (9-7). Strezlecki then tallied the fourth team point with a straight sets win (6-3, 6-0).

SOUTH DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Sebastian De Las Salas, Harding
Sebastian De Las Salas was the only Bison to go unbeaten in Harding’s 4-3 win over MIAA/GAC North Division foe Northwest Missouri. The junior first teamed up with Bernardo Henriques for a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles. He then won in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-1, over the Bearcats’ Dominik Wijntjes at No. 1 singles.
 
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
Frode Neumann, Southern Arkansas [SOUTH DIVISION]
Frode Neumann went 5-1 over the weekend as the Muleriders collected wins over Southwest Baptist University and Delta State. The Muleriders also won their exhibition match against Cowley County Community College. The junior was unbeaten at No. 2 singles and 2-1 playing at No. 2 doubles.
