KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced a new Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week award winner in week 11 of the 2025-26 season. Central Missouri collected its second consecutive MIAA Athlete of the Week with Jevon Hill earning this week’s honor.
MIAA MEN’S BASKETBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Jevon Hill, Central Missouri
Jevon Hill led the Mules to a 2-0 road trip with league wins over Nebraska Kearney and [RV] Fort Hays State. The junior averaged 18.5 points and 3.5 boards during the two-game set, shooting 55.6 percent from the floor (10-of-18) and 53 percent from beyond the arc (9-of-17). In the 92-53 win over the Lopers, Von had a game-high 26 points and five rebounds, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-9 from three-point territory. Jevon followed that performance up with an 11-point outing in the 61-49 win over the Tigers for good measure. Hill is the second Mule to earn the MIAA Athlete of the Week title this season. His teammate Lazerek Houston earned the honor in week ten.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
Dillon Claussen, Washburn
Dillon Claussen averaged 18 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists as the Ichabods went 2-0 last week, running their winning streak to 22 games. In Washburn’s 81-73 win over [RV] Fort Hays State, Clauusen was limited to nine points and seven rebounds, but hit a pair of game-tying free throws with 0.9 remaining to send the game to overtime. In Saturday’s 89-67 win over the Lopers, Claussen was 11-of-16 from the field, scoring a career-high 27 points, while adding eight boards and two steals. The senior forward was also 3-of-5 from three-point range and recorded career highs in field goals (11) and field goal attempts (16) against the Lopers.
Jarren McAllister, Arkansas-Fort Smith
Jarren McAllister averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game as the Lions split close road games at Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State. The senior guard shot 57.7 percent on the week and finished 6-for-11 from three and 11-for-13 from the line. McAllister totaled a career-high 27 points with nine rebounds in the 86-81 loss to Missouri Southern, shooting 7-for-14 overall, 4-for-6 from three and 9-for-11 from the line. He then recorded 20 points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks while shooting 8-for-12 in a 76-71 comeback win at Pitt State. McAllister is currently averaging 18.8 points over his last six games with four 20-point games while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor and 61.9 percent from three. He’s also averaging 5.7 rebounds per game.
Devin Butler, Missouri Western
Devin Butler delivered a spark off the bench in the lone game of the week for Missouri Western, helping the Griffons complete a regular season sweep of Northwest Missouri with an 84-65 win in Maryville. Butler totaled 22 points in just 23 minutes, shooting an efficient 8-of-10 from the field, while knocking down 2-of-4 from three, and finished a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. He added two rebounds, two steals, and steady energy on both ends as MoWest pulled away for the decisive victory.
