KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its final women’s soccer athletes for the 2025 season. Pittsburg State swept week nine’s honors with Carrie Cunningham named the Offensive Athlete of the Week, Ann Boehnlein named the Defender of the Week, and Jocelyn Kramar named the Goalkeeper of the Week.
OFFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Carrie Cunningham, Pittsburg State
Carrie Cunningham helped Pittsburg State pick up a pair of key road wins over Central Oklahoma (2-0) and No. 18 Central Missouri (1-0). The Olathe, Kan., native scored the game-winner and lone goal of the match against the ranked Jennies. She finished with a match-high four shots with three falling on goal in the road win that propelled the Gorillas into second place in the league standings heading into the final match day of the regular season. Cunningham leads the Gorillas’ offense this season with five goals, 44 shots, and 21 shots on goal with three game-winning goals.
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Ann Boehnlein, Pittsburg State
Ann Boehnlein helped the Gorillas defense collect a pair of MIAA shutout wins last week as Pittsburg State defeated Central Oklahoma (2-0) and No. 18 Central Missouri (1-0) on the road. The junior defender assisted in holding opponents to just ten shots on goal on the week while also scoring the game-winning goal against the Bronchos. The Lee's Summit, Mo., native has contributed to all 10 shutouts for the Gorillas this season and has provided two assists and one goal on offense.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK: Jocelyn Kramar, Pittsburg State
Jocelyn Kramar closes out the 2025 regular season as the league’s back-to-back Goalkeeper of the Week. The sophomore keeper picked up her tenth shutout of the season and kept opponents off the scoreboard in the last four straight matches. The Fort Collins, Colo., native saved a career-high nine shots against Central Oklahoma last Friday (Oct. 31) in a 2-0 road win. In the Gorillas’ 1-0 shutout of No. 18 Central Missouri on Sunday (Nov. 2), Kramar picked up her second shutout of the week thanks to a key point-blank save early in the first half that would have given the Jennies the lead as Pitt ultimately claimed a 1-0 win on the road. Kramar currently leads the MIAA with 10 shutouts on the season and posts league-best goals against average (.433) and shutout percentage (.588) while ranking third in the league for save percentage (.848).
