Camrin Peaslee proved to be the difference-maker for MoWest. With under a minute left, Peaslee set up Kiara Carr for the Griffons’ first goal, cutting into the deficit with just 35 seconds remaining. Moments later, Peaslee delivered again, linking up with Nicoletta Froehlich to find Kendall Knisley for the equalizer. Peaslee’s back-to-back assists fueled a stunning late rally that turned what looked like a certain defeat into a 2-2 draw against Rogers State.

Defender – Ruby Ryan, Emporia State
Ryan played all 180 minutes over the weekend as Emporia State ran their winning streak to three matches with a pair of wins to open MIAA play. She played all 90 minutes at Newman as the Hornets limited the Jets to just five shots and only two on goal. Newman scored their lone goal on a penalty kick. She logged another 90 minutes in the shutout win at Central Oklahoma. The Bronchos were limited to five shots with two on goal. The Hornets are the only team to go 2-0 on the opening weekend of MIAA play.

Defender – Kortney Davis, Missouri Southern

Davis started and played every minute of both contests, totaling 180 minutes on the field, and helped the Lions to back-to-back shutouts on the road at Fort Hays State and Nebraska Kearney. Davis has started and played in all 90 minutes each of the last five games.
