[2022-23 MIAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its fifth women's indoor track and field athletes of the week for the 2022-23 season.
 
Indoor Track Athlete of the Week – Kaylee Harp – Northwest Missouri      
Kaylee Harp put up the league’s best time of the year in a Bearcat-recording breaking run in the 800 meters at the Ichabod Mid-Week Challenge in Topeka, Kan. Harp posted a time of 2:09.43, which currently ranks fourth in Division II this season.
 
Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Auna Childress – Pittsburg State   
Auna Childress claimed the top spot in NCAA Division II this season in the triple jump with her winning performance at the Eighth Annual Gorilla Indoor Classic at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The Lawrence, Kan., native posted a personal-best mark of 43 feet, 2.25 inches to improve her school record in the discipline.
 
NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES
Kiara Smith – Missouri Southern
Kiara Smith won the 60-meter hurdles prelims and finals with NCAA Division II Qualifying times of 8.38 and 8.32. Her times are now second and third fastest times in program history.
 
Lyric Holman – Fort Hays State
Lyric Holman ran a trio of NCAA Division II national qualifying times at the Indoor Gorilla Classic while breaking one school record in the 4x400m relay. The senior placed fourth in the 60-meter dash finals with a time of 7.57 after running the prelims in 7.63, both under the provisional threshold. Her 200-meter dash time of 24.84 also ranks sixth in Division II. Holman wrapped up the weekend by running the opening leg in the 4x400m relay that set the school record with a time of 3:46.93. Holman and her teammates placed second in the event and eighth-best on the Division II descending order list this season.
 
NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES
Madi Wulfekotter – Central Missouri
Madi Wulfekotter won the women’s pole vault at the Pittsburg State Indoor Gorilla Classic over the weekend. The redshirt senior posting a provisional height of 4.03 meters (13-02.50). Her mark is currently tied for fifth-best in NCAA Division II this season.
