KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced its fourth women's indoor track and field athletes of the week for the 2022-23 season.
 
Indoor Track Athlete of the Week – Lurisarys Toledo – Northwest Missouri     
Luisarys Toledo took the title in the women’s 800-meter dash with a new school, meet and fieldhouse record with a time of 2:09.80 at the Bearcat Invite. Toledo now has the fourth-best time in the country in the women’s 800-meter this season. The sophomore also ran the second leg of the women’s first place 4x400 meter relay at the Bearcat Invite that posted the best time in Division II this season at 3:43.94. The time also doubles as a Northwest school record.
 
Indoor Field Athlete of the Week – Mattie Rossi – Fort Hays State  
Mattie Rossi racked up a season-best 3,730 points in the pentathlon at the Bearcat Invite, placing her in 10th on the NCAA Division II performance chart. She also hit the provisional qualifying threshold in the 60-meter hurdles three times, running in 8.69 at both the Bearcat Invite and in the prelims at the Washburn Open & Multis before posting a time of 8.73 in the finals. She wrapped up the week with a time of 57.35 in the 400-meter dash, second-best at FHSU during the Division II era.
 
NOTABLE TRACK PERFORMANCES
Lyric Holman – Fort Hays State
Lyric Holman surpassed the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the 60-meter dash twice last Saturday at the Washburn Open & Multis, crossing the line in 7.64 in the prelims before recording a time of 7.62 in the finals.
 
NOTABLE FIELD PERFORMANCES
Megan McManis – Emporia State
Megan McManis cleared 3.92 meters (12-10.25) to win the women’s invitational pole vault at the Washburn Open. The sophomore broke her own school record of 12-08 that she set at last year’s Gorilla Classic. She moved up to No. 10 in the nation in the event and is ranked third in the MIAA.
