Kansas City, Mo. – Eighth seeded Central Oklahoma upset top seed Central Missouri 3-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the MIAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.

Sarah Purcell got the scoring started in the first minute of the game as the scored an unassisted goal. Central Missouri’s Abby Rhodes hit a shot from 10-yards out on the left side of the net to knot the score up in the fourth minute.

Purcell would strike again in the 17th minute as she deflected a cross into the net to put UCO ahead for good. Purcell would complete the hat trick as she netted a goal in the 68th minute.

Brandi Bartley made 10 saves to pick up the win and help push her team into the semi’s.

Central Oklahoma will face the winner of the Nebraska-Kearney/Washburn game at 4 p.m. on Nov. 8 from College Boulevard Activities Complex in Olathe, Kan.
