KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced new women’s soccer athletes of the week for week three of the 2026 season. For the third consecutive week, three new student-athletes earned the league’s latest weekly honors with Central Missouri’s Coryn Jespersen named the Offensive Athlete of the Week, Central Oklahoma’s Kaitlyn Cotton named the Defender of the Week, and Washburn’s Lili Everley named the Goalkeeper of the Week.

 OFFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:  Coryn Jespersen, Central Missouri
Coryn Jespersen generated offense in both of the Jennies’ matches last week to help No. 18-ranked Central Missouri to a pair of 4-0 shutout road wins in Arkansas. The sophomore midfielder opened the week with a record-tying three assists in the Jennies 4-0 triumph at Harding last Friday (Sept. 11). She’s only the 10th player in UCM soccer history to compile three assists in a match. In the Jennies' 4-0 victory at Ouachita on Sunday (Sept. 13), Jespersen scored the game-winning goal in the 21st minute of the match and added another assist. For the week, Jespersen posted one goal and four assists for six points. She also finished with six shots, four of which were on goal, for a .667 shots-on-goal percentage. Jespersen is now tied for second in the MIAA with four assists this season.

 DEFENDER OF THE WEEK:  Kaitlyn Cotton, Central Oklahoma
Kaitlyn Cotton led Central Oklahoma's defensive efforts in two shutout wins as the Bronchos wrapped up non-conference competition. The junior defender scored one goal in the Bronchos’ 4-0 win over Southern Nazarene on Wednesday (Sept. 9) in Edmond and anchored the back line in the 2-0 win at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday (Sept. 12). Cotton played all 180 minutes and helped limit opponents' shots to just 14 in the two shutout victories. 

 GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK:  Lili Everley, Washburn     
Lili Everley recorded back-to-back shutouts in week three as Washburn collected non-conference wins over Ouachita and Harding. The sophomore keeper totaled seven saves in the week, with five in the Ichabods’ 2-0 win over Harding and two in the 2-0 win against Harding. Everley played all 90 minutes of both matches and faced 20 shots in total. She’s earned a shutout in her last three games in goal and owns a record of 4-0-1 on the season.

OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
Megan Kephart, Emporia State    
Megan Kephart helped Emporia State go 2-0 last week with a 4-1 win over Colorado State-Pueblo and a 5-1 win over Oklahoma Baptist. In the victory over Oklahoma Baptist, Kephart capped the week with her first career hat trick in just 61 minutes played. The junior forward from Lenexa, Kan., now has five goals on the season, which is tied at the top of the MIAA entering conference action.
 
Bella Holland, Rogers State   
In the Hillcats only action of the week, Bella Holland was responsible for all three of Rogers State’s goals in a 3-1 road win over East Central last Saturday (Sept. 12). It was the first career hat trick for the Blackpool native. She also had four of her five shots land on target.
 
Sami Allen, Central Oklahoma     
Sami Allen played an offensive role in each match last week as Central Oklahoma went 2-0 to wrap up non-conference play. The senior forward scored one goal and had one assist in the Bronchos’ 4-0 win over Southern Nazarene last Wednesday (Sept. 9) in Edmond. Allen added another goal in Central Oklahoma’s 2-0 shutout at Southwestern later in the week (Sept. 12). She finished the week with a team-high five points (two goals, one assist).
 
Juliette Langlet, Northeastern State     
Juliette Langlet collected nine saves while helping the RiverHawks earn two shutout wins last week. The sophomore keeper from Boise, Idaho, and the RiverHawks defense held teams scoreless through their last three matches. She recorded six saves in Northeastern State’s 1-0 win over East Central before adding three saves in the 4-0 non-conference win against Missouri Southern. Langlet currently leads the MIAA with 30 saves on the season.
