KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced new Athletes of the Week for week 11 of the 2026 softball season. Central Oklahoma’s Hannah Demoff earned her first MIAA Hitter of the Week award while Missouri Southern’s Kiki Pickens was honored as the back-to-back MIAA Pitcher of the Week.
MIAA HITTER OF THE WEEK: Hannah Demoff, Central Oklahoma
Hannah Demoff led Central Oklahoma through a perfect 4-0 week with MIAA doubleheader sweeps of Nebraska Kearney and Fort Hays State. The freshman shortstop posted a .714 batting average on the week, going a combined 10-for-14 at the plate in a week of big offense for the Bronchos. Demoff totaled 10 hits, including three doubles and a home run, scored five runs and had five RBI. She went 3-for-4 and 2-for-3 in the doubleheader sweep at Kearney, where she hit two doubles. After a 0-for-2 Game one in Hays, Demoff went 5-for-5, tying a single-game UCO record for hits, when she hit another double and a home run and had four RBI.
MIAA PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Kiki Pickens, Missouri Southern
Kiki Pickens has been named the MIAA Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week. The junior pitcher registered two wins and a save, including a no-hitter, as No. 11 Missouri Southern went 3-1 over its MIAA conference weekend. Pickens registered a 0.58 ERA over four appearances (two starts), with a complete-game shutout over 12.0 total innings with 13 strikeouts. She picked up the game two win over Central Missouri, throwing the final 1.2 innings with a trio of strikeouts while not allowing a hit or a run. Pickens followed that up with a no-hitter of Rogers State, throwing a complete-game shutout with seven strikeouts and four walks. She concluded the weekend with a save in the doubleheader finale against the Hillcats, notching a strikeout while allowing just a walk. Pickens is now 16-3 in 2026 (6-1 in MIAA) with eight complete games, two shutouts, and a save.

HITTERS
Kadyn Trochim, Pittsburg State
Kadyn Trochim helped lead the Gorillas to a 4-0 weekend at home against Northeastern State and Central Missouri, slashing .692/.750/1.154 (1.904 OPS). The Waco, Texas native finished the week with nine hits, five RBI, four runs scored, three doubles and a home run. Against Northeastern State (Apr. 17), Trochim drove in a run in each game against the RiverHawks with a home run in game one and RBI double in game two. To end the weekend against Central Missouri (Apr. 18), she drove in three runs in the 5-3 game one win and went 2-of-4 in the second game against the Jennies. This season, Trochim is slashing .473/.577/.687 (1.264 OPS) with a team-high 64 RBI and 17 doubles to go with 38 runs scored, 62 total hits, 32 walks drawn and three home runs.
Ashlyn Finarty, Missouri Western
Ashlyn Finarty turned in a standout four-game stretch, collecting 10 hits in 14 at-bats (.714) with four doubles, a home run, and four RBIs while posting a .733 on-base percentage and 1.214 slugging percentage. She opened the weekend with a 2-for-4 performance with a double in a 6-4 loss at Washburn, then followed with a 2-for-4 effort that included a home run and three RBI in a 6-4 win in game two. Against Emporia State, Finarty stayed hot with a 3-for-3 showing with a double in a 5-4 loss, before closing the series with another 3-for-3 performance, adding two doubles and an RBI in a 12-1 win.
Dalaney Anderson, Washburn
Dalaney Anderson drove in 10 runs in four games last week as the Ichabods were 3-1, sweeping Northwest Missouri and splitting with Missouri Western, recording a .923 slugging percentage. She recorded six RBI in the Missouri Western series, with three in each game coming on a pair of 3-run homers. In the second game against the Bearcats, she drove in four more runs on two doubles.
PITCHERS
Madison Hamilton, Central Oklahoma
Madison Hamilton appeared in all four games last weekend as No. 20 Central Oklahoma went 4-0 in MIAA play on the road. The freshman went 2-0 in the circle with a 0.00 ERA. She struck out nine batters in 12.1 innings pitched.
