KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced new Athletes of the Week for week four of the 2026 softball season. Lexi Davis claimed Pittsburg State’s first MIAA Hitter of the Week award of the season and Emporia State’s Hannah Butterbaugh earned the Hornets’ first MIAA Pitcher of the Week honor.
MIAA HITTER OF THE WEEK: Lexi Davis, Pittsburg State
Lexi Davis helped the Gorillas stay unbeaten after leading Pitt State to a pair of doubleheader victories over Missouri-St. Louis (Feb. 21) and McKendree in the MIAA/GLVC Crossover. For the week, Davis slashed .500/.615/1.200 with 10 RBI from five hits and scored another five runs herself. In the back-to-back wins against UMSL, Davis finished with eight RBI while going 3-for-5 with a double and a home run. She ended the weekend with a 2-for-2 performance in the first game against McKendree, where she scored twice, drove in two runs with both of her hits going for extra bases (one double, one triple). The Gorillas catcher also recorded 21 putouts and two assists on defense as well.
MIAA PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Hannah Butterbaugh, Emporia State
Butterbaugh recorded a 0.38 ERA at the Washburn Invitational, allowing just one run in 18.2 innings of work. The freshman opened the weekend by pitching a complete game against Minnesota State while striking out nine and allowing one run on three hits for the Hornets to claim the 4-1 win. On day two, Butterbaugh pitched 3.0 shutout relief innings for the 5-3 win against Minnesota-Crookston, then struck out four in 3.2 innings against Wayne State while allowing just one unearned run. Her final appearance came in the Hornets’ 11-0 win against Drury on day three, as she struck out four more batters in 5.0 scoreless innings against the Panthers. Butterbaugh allowed just one extra-base hit in her four appearances over the weekend.

HITTERS
Dalaney Anderson, Washburn
Dalaney Anderson helped the Ichabods to a 4-1 record at the Washburn Invitational last weekend. The sophomore second baseman batted .556 with 10 hits in 18 at-bats, scoring seven runs with nine RBI, one home run, three doubles, while posting a .889 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. In the 15-0 opener against Montana State Billings, Anderson had a season-high four RBI, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two doubles in the win. In the 15-2 win against Minnesota State, she was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. In the 12-4 win against Drury on Saturday, she was 3-for-5 with three RBI. Anderson wrapped up the weekend with a solo home run in the 5-1 win against Minnesota-Crookston.
Brooke Flewelling, Emporia State
Brooke Flewelling helped the Hornets to a 4-1 record at the Washburn Invitational over the weekend. The junior third basemen hit .333 on the weekend with three home runs, five RBI and three walks. Flewelling hit a two-run homer in the first inning against Minnesota State, helping Emporia to the 4-1 victory. She then broke a 3-3 tie against Minnesota-Crookston with a solo home run and then homered again to tie the game against Rockhurst in the sixth inning. Emporia went on to defeated Minnesota-Crookston 5-3 and Rockhurst 2-1.
Emily Perry, Missouri Southern
Emily Perry hit .500 with nine RBI, four runs and three homers as Missouri Southern went 2-2 over the week. The senior outfielder opened the week with two homers (2-for-2) and six RBI in the Lions’ 11-3 game one win over Missouri-St. Louis. In game two with the Tritons, Perry went 1-for-2 with two walks, one run, one RBI and a steal. She also finished 1-for-2 in game one against McKendree, notching a homer, two RBI, a sacrifice fly and a walk.
PITCHERS
Shelby Beard, Central Oklahoma
Shelby Beard led No. 17 Central Oklahoma to an unblemished weekend at the Washburn Invitational, going 2-0 in the circle with a 0.95 ERA in two starts. The junior pitched 7.1 innings, struck out 11 batters, and only allowed one run on the week. Beard gave up the one run on six hits and a walk in the Bronchos’ 4-2 win over Minnesota State, striking out five in 4.1 innings. She then pitched 3.0 innings against Rockhurst and allowed just one hit while striking out six batters.
Jadyn Streigle, Northwest Missouri
Jadyn Streigle went 2-0 with wins over Rockhurst and Drury last weekend. The senior posted a 1.17 ERA after allowing two runs on eight hits and striking out five batters in 12 innings of work. Streigle allowed one earned run in a complete game at Rockhurst and followed that up by allowing one earned run in another complete game against Drury.
