Bowlin Named All-American by Daktronics

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Missouri Southern's Skyler Bowlin was selected to the 2010-11 Daktronics Men's Basketball All-America Third Team, voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bowlin, the Daktronics South Central Region Player of the Year, was the unanimous choice as the MIAA Player of the Year as well as repeating as the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 18.1 points per game while handing out 178 assists and recording 73 steals. He made 77 of 210 three-pointers. Bowlin led the Lions to a 26-5 finish and a berth in the South Central Regional.

Bowlin ranks as the Lions' all-time leader in three-pointers (224) and is fourth in career scoring with 1,664 points. He led the MIAA in steals and ranks 16th nationally, and is second in the conference in assists and 14th in Division II.
