To help celebrate the MIAA's centennial year, the conference will feature "100 days of memories" on the league website, where some of the greatest moments in MIAA history will be highlighted on each of those 100 days spread throughout the calendar year.
May 30, 2009: Emporia State baseball plays for the National Championship. In just the fourth one-run game in NCAA Division II Championship game history, No. 3 Emporia State fell, 2-1, to No. 5 Lynn in Cary, N.C. Jacob White, Kellen Lane, and Ben Graham earned all-tournament honors for the Hornets.
June 2, 1978: Emporia State baseball wins the NAIA National Championship. After opening the NAIA World Series with a 4-0 loss to conference foe Missouri Southern, the Hornets would win five straight games to claim their first baseball national championship. Included in the five games were two wins over Missouri Southern, one of them a complete game no hitter by World Series MVP Kevin Mendon.
