To help celebrate the MIAA's centennial year, the conference will feature "100 days of memories" on the league website, where some of the greatest moments in MIAA history will be highlighted on each of those 100 days spread throughout the calendar year.

June 3, 2000: Fort Hays State finishes as the NCAA Division II national runner-up in baseball with a record of 54-12 under head coach Bob Fornelli. The Tigers fell by a score of 7-2 to Southeastern Oklahoma State in the championship game, but set a new school record for wins. After losing to Chico State (Calif.) in their first game of the regional, the Tigers fought back to defeat Chico twice in the double elimination format to reach the Division II World Series in Alabama. Fornelli is now the coach at Emporia State, where he has guided the Hornets to two national championship game appearances.

1982: Led by NAIA Coach of the Year Rhesa Sumrell, the 1982 Missouri Western softball team won MWSU's first and only National Championship, winning the NAIA championship tournament in Kearney, Neb. On May 29, 1982, the Griffons defeated St. Francis (Ill.) 5-0 in the championship game. Freshman pitcher Cheri Kemp was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
