MIAA Release (February 22, 2018)
The Pittsburg State University men's and women's indoor track & field teams will host the 2018 MIAA Indoor Championships Feb. 23-25 at the Robert W. Plaster Center.  The Plaster Center is located on PSU’s campus in Pittsburg, Kansas.
 
Both Pitt State squads enter the 2018 MIAA Indoor Championships as the defending conference indoor champions and both hold the top MIAA spots in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Top 25 National poll.  The Pittsburg State women’s team is ranked 5th and Missouri Southern is ranked 18th.  On the men’s side, Pittsburg State is ranked 7th, followed by Emporia State at 13th, Missouri Southern at 14th and Fort Hays is ranked 25th.
 
Schedule of Events
The 2018 MIAA Indoor Championships starts Friday (Feb. 23) at 2 p.m. (CST) with action in the women's pentathlon.  The men's heptathlon competition begins at 2:30 p.m.  The final event in the pentathlon – the 800 meters – will scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
 
On Saturday, the men's heptathlon resumes in the morning with the full meet starting with field events at 1:30 p.m.  Championship Sunday gets under way at 11:30 a.m. with team champions crowned at approximately 5 p.m.
 
Ticket Information
Single day tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students/children (3-18). Three-day all session passes are available for $15.

A free to view web stream of the MIAA Championships will be available all three days of the event on TheMIAANetwork.  The broadcasts are scheduled to begin at 1:45pm on Friday, February 23 and at 11:15am on both Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25.

The meet will serve as the final regular season action for the 2018 indoor season.  Qualifiers for the 2018 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships – scheduled for Mar. 9-10 at the Robert W. Plaster Center – will be announced next Tuesday (Feb. 28).
