KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced new Athletes of the Week from the tenth week of the 2026 baseball season. Both Drake Lee and Ben Haug earned their second weekly honors of the season with Central Oklahoma’s Lee named the Hitter of the Week and Northwest Missouri’s Haug named the Pitcher of the Week.
MIAA HITTER OF THE WEEK: Drake Lee, Central Oklahoma
Drake Lee led Central Oklahoma's offense to three wins in four games last week. The senior went 10-for-17 (.588 batting average) with two doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI, and seven runs scored. Lee led the Bronchos in the box in the mid-week loss to Rogers State, going 3-for-5 with a double and a home run, two runs and two RBI. In the MIAA series against Arkansas-Fort Smith, Lee went 4-for-5, 2-for-4, and 1-for-3 in the three games, highlighted by a double and a homer in game one with five RBI.
MIAA PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Ben Haug, Northwest Missouri
Ben Haug tossed a one-hit shutout in a 14-0 (7-inning) win over Northeastern State this past Saturday (April 18). The senior pitcher struck out eight batters and allowed only a one-out third-inning double to Chance Pair. It is Haug's first shutout of the season and second of his career. It was also his first complete game of the season and third of his Bearcat pitching career. Haug is 4-1 in MIAA play (5-1 overall).

MIAA HITTERS
Andrew Young, Missouri Southern
Andrew Young hit .500 as Missouri Southern went 4-0 over its week of MIAA conference games. Young slugged 1.200 with a .647 on-base percentage to go with seven runs, five hits, a double, two homers, five RBI, five walks, and two stolen bases. Young opened the week, going 3-for-4 with four runs, a double and a homer (his first career) in the midweek win over Newman. He then added a game one homer against Missouri Western. In game two with the Griffons, Young went 1-for-2 with two RBI, a walk, a stolen base and a sacrifice. He concluded the series sweep of MWSU with two runs, an RBI, four walks, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly. Young has reached base safely in each of the last 10 games (five-game hitting streak).
Logan Myers, Emporia State
Logan Myers went 8-for-14 with two doubles and four walks last week as the Hornets went 2-2 against MIAA opponents. The junior second baseman posted three multi-hit games, including a 3-for-3 game in Saturday’s 3-2 win over No. 16 Central Missouri, which marked his fifth game reaching base in all five plate appearances this season.
Ian Luce, Washburn
Ian Luce led the Ichabod offense with another big week at the plate, hitting 12-for-21 (.571) with a pair of home runs. He reached base at a .591 clip to tally a 1.543 OPS on the week as he extended his hitting streak to 22 games and continued to reach base in every game this season. He slashed multiple hits in all four games, including going 4-for-5 with a home run and a double in Washburn's 12-4 game two win over Rogers State. He racked up nine RBI while scoring six runs himself on the week.
MIAA PITCHERS
Colby Deaver, Emporia State
Colby Deaver pitched the series opener against the No. 16-ranked Mules last Friday (April 17) and put together his second 8.0 inning outing of the season. He allowed two runs on seven hits, while striking out nine and allowing just one walk on his way to his ninth win. The outing marked his sixth this season with eight or more strikeouts, and his eighth quality start in 12 outings.
