Ichabods, Tigers Earn Top Seeds in 2025 MIAA/GAC Men's Tennis Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – With all the regular season matches finalized, the stage is set for the 2025 MIAA/GAC Men’s Tennis Championship. The top four teams in the North Division and the top four teams in the South Division will meet in Springfield, Mo., for the league’s three-day postseason tournament hosted at the Cooper Tennis Complex.

The opening matches of the 2025 MIAA/GAC postseason men’s tennis championship are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30. The winners of the first-round matches will advance to the semifinal matches, set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 1. The battle for the MIAA/GAC title will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 2.
 
NCAA Division II men’s tennis programs in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Atheltics Association (MIAA) and Great American Conference (GAC) compete in a North/South divisional regular season schedule with in-division conference matches counting towards their tournament seed. 
 
Washburn claimed the No. 1 seed out of the North Division with a flawless 5-0 in-division regular season record. Northwest Missouri finished 4-1 against North Division teams to earn the No. 2 seed, followed by No. 3 seed Nebraska Kearney and No. 4 seed Emporia State. The Lopers and Hornets both went 2-3 against North Division teams in the regular season with Nebraska Kearney clinching the higher seed thanks to its 4-3 win over Emporia in the regular season.
 
Ouachita also went undefeated (4-0) against league opponents to tab the top seed in the South Division. Harding will be the No. 2 seed out of the South Division, followed by No. 3 seed Southern Arkansas and No. 4 seed, MIAA newcomer Arkansas-Fort Smith.
