Cooper Tennis Complex Named Host of MIAA Men's and Women's Championships

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association is excited to announce the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Mo. as the new home of the 2025 and 2026 men’s and women’s tennis championships.  
 
“The MIAA is very excited to hold its 2025 and 2026 tennis championships at the Cooper Tennis Complex,” said Anthony Rittof, MIAA Director of Membership Services and the Association’s Tennis Championships Administrator. “We believe our tennis student-athletes will be treated to first-class facilities and an overall experience befitting for an MIAA conference championship. We appreciate the Cooper Tennis Complex’s efforts in working with us and look forward to crowning our men’s and women’s champions in Springfield for the next two years!”
 
Built in 1994, Springfield’s Cooper Tennis Complex is one of the top tennis facilities in the Midwest and was named the Outstanding Tennis Facility of 2000 and 2016 by the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
 
The complex features 12 indoor courts (all resurfaced in 2019) and 17 lighted outdoor courts, including the 2,500-seat stadium court. Operated by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, the Cooper Complex includes several amenities such as locker rooms, a concession stand, a pro shop, meeting rooms and a fitness center.
 
The 2025 MIAA men’s tennis championship is set for April 30 - May 2 with the 2025 MIAA women’s tennis championship taking place May 2-4. The top eight men’s teams and the top six women’s teams from the regular season standings will advance to Springfield to compete for the MIAA championship title.
 
“We are looking forward to hosting the MIAA men’s and women’s conference tournament for the next two years,” said Mallory Weber, the Cooper Tennis Complex's Community Tennis Manager. “It’s a great opportunity to be able to host high-level college tennis and showcase these schools and players to our local Springfield community. We are excited to showcase our facility, Cooper Tennis Complex, and provide a great experience for the players, coaches, and fans.”
 
The Cooper Complex has hosted Fed Cup play, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) professional tournaments, NCAA Division II National Championships, National 12 and under championships, Missouri High School Championships and various USTA programs.
