KANSAS CITY, MO – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has announced a new Wrestler of the Week for the fourth week of the 2025-26 season. Central Oklahoma’s Josh Taylor claimed the Bronchos’ second MIAA Wrestler of the Week honor this season.
MIAA WRESTLER OF THE WEEK: Josh Taylor, 141 lbs., Central Oklahoma
Josh Taylor led No. 7 Central Oklahoma to a dominating 33-3 win over No. 11 McKendree in the 2025-26 home opener for the Bronchos. Taylor upset the No. 6-ranked 141-pounder, Ronan Schuelke, with an 8-2 decision in the dual. The junior took Schuelke to his back for a big seven-point move midway through the first period, and McKendree's two-time All-American couldn't recover. Schuelke escaped later in the opening stanza and got loose again in the second to make it 7-2, but Taylor escaped early in the third to go up 8-2 and coasted to the win in the final period.
