Lopers earn 73-69 win

Kansas City, Mo. – Third seeded Nebraska-Kearney shot .509  from the field on the way to a 73-69 victory over sixth seeded Washburn in the quarterfinal round.
 
Washburn led at the half as they outscored the Lopers 39-38, but could not overcome a 19-9 run early in the second half.
 
The Lopers were led by Isaiah McKay who finished with 22 points while Yashua Trent added 18 points and seven assists. Kyle Juhl finished with 14 points and Ty Danielson added 12 points to the effort.
 
For the Ichabods Brady Skeens finished with a double-double scoring 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Also in double figures was Javion Blake who finished with 16 points and Isaac Clark who added 15 points and five rebounds.
 
UNK will now face the winner of #2 Central Missouri and #7 Central Oklahoma in a 12 noon semifinal game on March 4 from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
