INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Four MIAA men’s basketball teams advanced to the 2026 NCAA Division II postseason. Washburn, Central Missouri, Missouri Western and Rogers State will continue their 2025-26 season into the NCAA Central Region Championship Tournament, hosted by the top-seeded Ichabods March 14-17 in Topeka, Kan.
The official 64-team field for the 2025-26 NCAA Division II men’s basketball postseason tournament was announced on Sunday, March 8. Washburn earned the MIAA’s automatic qualifier into the NCAA tournament after winning the 2026 MIAA Men’s Basketball Championship with a 91-59 win over Rogers State. The Ichabods tabbed the top seed in the Central Region and will host the eight-team Central Region Championship tournament in the Bods’ Lee Arena.
Central Missouri (23-9) earned the No. 3 seed in the region and will open the regional championship against MIAA foe, No. 6 seed Rogers State (21-10) at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. Washburn (31-1) will take on No. 8 seed Minnesota Duluth (21-11) at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Missouri Western (21-11) claimed the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed St. Cloud State (25-6) at 8 p.m. on Friday.
Saturday’s winners will advance to Sunday’s regional semifinals set for 5 and 7:30 p.m. The Central Region Championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, in Topeka.
