St. Cloud, Minn. – Fourth seeded Arkansas-Monticello got 18 hits on the way to a 15-0 win over fifth seeded Missouri Western in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional.
 
Arkansas-Monticello struck first as they used a double and three singles to take a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. They would then grab five runs in the bottom of the fifth before adding three more in the bottom of the sixth. A home run in the bottom of the seventh would push the lead to 14-0. The Boll Weevils plated another run in the bottom of the eighth on a home run.
 
For the Griffons Orencio Fisher, Alex Heuring, David Glaude and Andy Rieth all finished with one hit each.
 
MWSU will face the loser of top seeded St. Cloud State and eighth seeded Minnesota State tomorrow at 10 a.m. from Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, Minn.
