Kansas City, Mo. – Fourth seeded Fort Hays State overcame a late 12-1 run by fifth seed Central Oklahoma to pull out a 67-61 quarterfinal victory.
 
For the Tigers Rob Davis led the way with 18 points dishing out four assists on the night. Craig Nicholson had 11 points as did Jake Stoppel who also pulled down six board and Dom Samac had 10 rebounds.
 
For the Bronchos Jarrod Bairstow led the way scoring 17 points while Conell Neal added 11 points on the night. On the glass Trai Jordan led the way with nine rebounds and also dished out three assists.
 
FHSU will take on top seeded Northwest Missouri in the nightcap of semifinal Saturday with an 8:15 scheduled tip from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
