Defeat Central Oklahoma await second semi winner in championship

Kearney, Neb.  – Second seeded Washburn hit .284 while holding third seeded Central Oklahoma to .096 hitting on the way to a 25-22, 25-15 and 25-15 victory in the semifinal round the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.
 
For the Ichabods both Kelsey Barrick and Sarah Vicory were in double figures with 11 kills apiece. Shayla Conner had 18 assists while Natalie Bates added 17 assists in a two-setter formation. Alyssa Carney had 11 digs while Makayla Maxwell led the way with five blocks.
 
For the Bronchos Taylor Bevis led the way with a double-double scoring 13 kills and finishing with 10 digs on the night. Katy Davis ended the evening with 35 assists and Dominique Lipari had a team best 11 digs.
 
The Ichabods will face the winner of tonight’s second semifinal between Nebraska-Kearney and Central Missouri tomorrow in the MIAA Championship.
