Topeka, Kan. – Second seeded Washburn used 10 team blocks to pull out a 27-25, 25-17 and 26-24 victory over seventh seeded Missouri Western in the quarterfinal round of the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.
 
Leanna Willer finished in double figure kills for the Ichabods with 12 kills and Kelsey Barrick added a match high seven blocks. Natalie Bates had a double-double on the evening with 16 assists and 11 digs. Alyssa Carney led the way on the return finishing with 22 digs.
 
For the Griffons Stephanie Doak had a team best nine kills while Rachle Losch finished with four blocks. Kayla Ruff led the return with 23 digs and Lauren Murphy had 35 assists.
 
The Ichabods will now face Central Oklahoma at 5 p.m. on Nov. 18 from Kearney, Neb. in the semifinal round.
