Sioux Falls, S.D. – Fourth seeded Northwest Missouri got six made free throws in the final 28 seconds to hold off a last second charge by top seeded Augustana in a 66-65 victory in the semifinal round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional.
 
NWMSU trailed by three with 6:15 to play but would outscore Augie 10-6 over the final six minutes to secure the upset win. NWMSU was a perfect seven of seven from the line on the night with six of them coming in the final 30 seconds.
 
For the Bearcats Justin Pitts led the way with 22 points while dishing out four assists. Zach Schneider had 15 points and Brett Dougherty finished with 11 points while Matt Wallace finished with nine rebounds and a team best six assists.
 
NWMSU will face second seeded Minnesota State-Moorhead in the regional title game on March 17 at 7 p.m. from Sioux Falls, S.D.
