Sioux Falls, S.D.. – Seventh seeded Pittsburg State could not complete the comeback as they fell 80-68 to second seeded Minnesota State-Moorhead in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional.

With 15:09 in the second half PSU would cut the lead to just two and trailed by five under the ten-minute mark. PSU could not overcome .550 shooting from the field for the Dragons in the game.
 
For the Gorillas Lamine Dieng led the way with 13 points and six reboundswhile Trey Starks finished with 13 points as well. Josiah Gustafson had 12 points and three assists while Devon Branch added 11 points and three assists.
 
Pittsburg State concludes the season 20-13 and were the MIAA postseason tournament winners.
