Kansas City, Mo. -- Teams continued to battle for tournament seeding as the mid-week portion of the final week in the regular season got underway for MIAA basketball.

Pittsburg State at Emporia State
WBB: #12 ESU 62, #11 PSU 58
#12 Emporia State held #11 Pittsburg State to just .323 shooting from the filed as they earned a victory at home. ESU shot .636 from the three-point line as they finished 15-4 in the league’s regular season.
 
For the Lady Hornets Kelly Moten led the way scoring 24 points, pulled down six rebounds and dishing out four assists. Kathryn Flott had a double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 14 boards while Kelsey Barnwell added 10 points. For the Gorillas Lizzy Jeronimus had 19 points and dished out a team best three assists. Morgan Westhoff had 13 points and on the glass Kylie Gafford pulled down 10 rebounds.
 
MBB: ESU 74, PSU 67
Emporia State shot .595 from the field as they defeated Pittsburg State on their home floor. ESU also shot .636 from the three-point line as they finished the regular season with a 5-14 league record.

For the Hornets Terrence Moore had 24 points, dished out five assists and finished with four steals. Also in double figures were Jay Temaat with 17 points and Jevon Taylor with 14 points. For the Gorillas Devon Branch finished with a game high 26 points on the evening. Javis Flynn led the way on the glass pulling down seven rebounds while dishing out four assists.


Lindenwood at Missouri Southern
WBB: MSSU 68, LWU 63
Missouri Southern got 21 points off of turnovers at home as they knocked off LIndenwood. MSSU shot .471 from behind the three-point line as they moved to 13-5 in the league this season.
 
For the MSSU Lions Nicole Hartzog led the way scoring a game high 22 points while Jolee Sharp had a team high six rebounds. Alexis Fitzpatrick finished with 11 points and dished out a team high five assists also adding four steals. For the LWU Lions Kassidy Genbenbacher and Jenny Rocha had 14 points while Rocha finished with seven assists. Vanessa Zailo had a double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds as Kylie Ferguson also finished with 12 points.
 
MBB: MSSU 79, LWU 66
Missouri Southern outrebounded Lindenwood 45-34 on the night as they picked up a win at home. MSSU shot .483 from the field and got 17 second chance points as they moved to 10-7 in the league this season.
 
For the MSSU Lions Lane Barlow finished with a triple-double scoring 13 points. Pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists. Taevaunn Prince had a double-double scoring 27 points and pulling down 11 rebounds while Austin Wright added 13 points. For the LWU Lions Sam Mader led the way as he scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds. Chanse Creekmur had 12 points and seven boards while Darris Smith finished with 11 points.
 
Missouri Western at Central Missouri
WBB: UCM 82, MWSU 78
Central Missouri shot .491 from the field as they earned a win at home over Missouri Western. UCM also shot .500 from behind the three-point line as they moved to 12-6 in the MIAA this season.
 
For the Jennies Shelby Winkelmann led the way with 25 points and Jasmine Thompson had a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Also in double figures were Tayler Welks with 11 points and Danielle Barry finished with 10 points. For the Griffons LaQuinta Jefferson led the way with 16 points and Friday Chuo pulled down a team best seven rebounds. Sarafina Hand had 15 points and Miliakere Koyamainavurre had 10 points while Chelsea Dewey dished out six assists.
 
MBB: #12 UCM 64, MWSU 42
#12 Central Missouri held Missouri Western to just 15 points in the second half as they earned a win at home. UCM held MWSU to just .381 shooting from the field as they moved to 14-4 in league play.
 
For the Mules TJ White led all scorers with 19 points and Dillon Deck finished with eight points. On the glass Brad Woodson had seven rebounds and Rakeem Dickerson dished out a team best five assists. For the Griffons Seth Bonifas was the only player in double figures finished with 10 points. On the glass Hans THuns had seven boards while Aaron Emmanuel dished out four assists.
