Kansas City, Mo. -- Emporia State swept Nebraska-Kearney in the final games of week 11 in MIAA basketball.

WBB: #2 ESU 80, UNK 49
#2 Emporia State put up 48 first half points as they defeated Nebraska-Kearney at home in Emporia. ESU shot .576 in the first half as they moved to 10-2 in the league this season.
 
The Lady Hornets were led by Kelly Moten who scored 19 points and dished out five assists while Kathryn Flott had a team best seven boards. Addie Lackey had 15 points and Jacee Kramer and Kelsey Barnwell each finished with 10 points. For the Lopers Kelsey Fitzgerald led the way with 14 points while pulling down a team best seven rebounds. Amarah Williams finished the game with 11 points and Alexa Hogberg dished out a team best six assists.

Emporia State got 26 points off their bench as they picked up a win at home over Nebraska-Kearney. ESU got 13 points off of turnovers and 10 second chance points as they moved to 3-9 in the league this season.
 
For the Hornets Terrence Moore led the way scoring 27 points and dishing out three assists. Micah Swank had 12 points and three assists and Jevon Taylor had 12 points and a team best six rebounds. For the Lopers Connor Beranek had a double-double scoring a game high 33 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Trey Lansman scored 13 points and Ethan Brozek finished with 12 points on the afternoon.
