Kansas City, Mo. -- Four games were decided by four points of less and every double header was a split as another mid-week of MIAA basketball games came to a close.

Fort Hays State at Lindenwood
WBB: FHSU 75, LWU 60
Fort Hays State held Lindenwood to just .373 shooting from the field as they earned a win on the road. FHSU shot .426 from the field as they moved to 6-0 in the league this season.
 
The Tigers were led by Kate Lehman who had a double-double scoring 19 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Paige Lunsford had 12 points and Beth Bohuslavsky had 11 points and four assists. For the Lions Jenny Rocha was the leading scorer with 15 points and Kassidy Gengenbacher added 12 points. On the glass Vanessa Zailo had 18 total rebounds including 15 on the defensive side.
 
MBB: LWU 73, FHSU 46
Lindenwood shot .511 from the field as they earned a victory at home over Fort Hays State. LWU was 13 of 24 from the three-point line as they moved to 5-2 in the league this season.
 
The Lions were led by Darris Smith who had 12 points and five assists and Zachary Biggs who added nine rebounds. Cory Arentsen added 11 points and Chanse Creekmur had 10 points. For the Tigers Jeremy Wilson led the way with 13 points and five rebounds. Craig Nicholson finished with 10 points and dished out three assists.
 
Emporia State at Missouri Western
WBB: #1 ESU 57, MWSU 56
#1 Emporia State held off a strong second half comeback to pull out a one point victory on the road at Missouri Western. MWSU outscored ESU 10-1 over the final 4:01, but the Lady Hornets held on to move to 6-0 in league play this season.
 
For the Lady Hornets Kelly Moten led the way soring 17 points and pulling down a team high eight rebounds. Addie Lackey added 10 points and Amber Vandiver pulled down seven rebounds. For the Griffons LaQuinta Jefferson had 19 points and pulled down five rebounds. Sarafina Handy had 11 points and Chelsea Dewey dished out five assists on the night.
 
MBB: MWSU 54, ESU 50
Missouri Western overcame a six-point halftime deficit to earn a victory over Emporia State at home. MWSU held ESU to just 23 second half points as they moved to 3-3 in league play.
 
For the Griffons Cortrez Colber led the way scoring a game high 22 points on the evening. Cole Clearman added 13 points and pulled down a team best five rebounds. For the Hornets Terrence Moore had 17 points and a game high four steals. Micah Swank had nine points and MicWisdom Badejo pulled down six rebounds.
 
Nebraska-Kearney at Northwest Missouri
WBB: UNK 71, NWMSU 54
Nebraska-Kearney racked up 43 second half points as they earned a win on the road at Northwest Missouri. UNK shot .500 from the field in the second half as they moved to 3-4 in the MIAA this season.
 
For the Lopers McKenzie Brown led the way scoring 19 points while Kelsey Fitzgerald added 17 points and Alex Hoberg had 15 points. Taylor Neilson had 10 points and on the glass Amarah Williams had 11 rebounds. For the Bearcats both Tember Schechinger and Taylor Shull finished with 10 points. On the glass it was Shelby Mustain leading the way by pulling down eight boards.
 
MBB: NWMSU 80, UNK 48
Northwest Missouri shot .586 from the field on the evening as they picked up a victory at home over Nebraska-Kearney. NWMSU scored 50 points in the paint including 15 off of turnover as they moved to 5-1 in the league.
 
For the Bearcats Justin Pitts led the way scoring 19 points and dishing out four assists while Anthony Woods pulled down seven rebounds. Matt Wallace had 14 points while Grant Coazad and Brett Dougherty each finished with 13 points. For the Lopers Isaiah McKay had 10 points and Trey Lansman pulled down six rebounds. Ethan Brozek also added 10 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals.
 
Northeastern State at Southwest Baptist
WBB: NSU 60, SBU 45
Northeastern State held Southwest Baptist to just 19 second half points on their way to a victory on the road. NSU shot .538 from the field in the first half as they moved to 4-2 in the league this year.
 
For the RiverHawks Chelsey Beathard led the way with 17 points and Bria Pierce added 12 points. Fontana Tate finished with 11 points and Kate Bellamy had 10 points and eight rebounds. For the Bearcats Dilonna Johnson was the leading scorer for the night with eight points. On the glass Sarah Magana had 10 rebounds to lead all players on the night.
 
MBB: SBU 79, NSU 68
Southwest Baptist erased an eight-point halftime deficit to pick up a victory at home against Northeastern State. SBU racked up 50 points shooting .541 from the field in the second half to move to 3-3 in the league this season.
 
For the Bearcats Patrick Burke led the way with 16 points and Quinton Smith had 15 points on the night. Daymond Cowlah had 13 points and Derrick Stewart and Finn Delany each added 11 points. For the RiverHawks Trey Mahair led the way with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. Landon DeMasters added 11 points and Amir Gilliam dished out a team high five assists.
 
Central Missouri at Pittsburg State
WBB: #5 PSU 54, UCM 52
#5 Pittsburg State held off Central Missouri late to earn a victory on the road in MIAA Play. PSU got 13 second chance points as they moved to 4-0 in the league this season.
 
For the Gorillas Kylie Gafford led the way scoring 13 points and pulling down seven rebounds. Antquinita Reed had 10 points and five rebounds and Lizzy Jeronimus added seven boards. For the Jennies Revonnia Howard had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Shelby Winkelmann led the team in scoring with 16 points and Justina Prairie Chief added 13 points.
 
MBB: #17 UCM 66, PSU 54
#17 Central Missouri held Pittsburg State to just 23 first half points to pick up a win on their home floor. UCM scored 18 points off of turnovers as they moved to 4-2 in the MIAA this season.
 
For the Mules Preston Brunz led the way scoring 14 points and dishing out three assists and TJ White pulled down six rebounds. Dillon Deck added 13 points and Jordan Epps finished with 12 points on the evening. For the Gorillas Dakota Jones had 13 points and Denton Hays added seven rebounds. Connor Kjer added 11 points and Josiah Gustafson had 10 points and pulled down five boards.
 
Central Oklahoma at Missouri Southern
WBB: UCO 54, MSSU 51
Central Oklahoma erased a five point halftime deficit to earn a victory on the road at Missouri Southern. UCO got 16 points off of their bench as they are now 5-1 in league play.
 
For the Bronchos Kylie Mayes led the team with 14 points and Julia Mason added 13 points. On the glass Hayley Bryan had six rebounds and Jordan Ward dished out a team best three assists. For the Lions Sharese Jones led the way scoring 16 points and pulling down seven rebounds. Nicole Hartzog added 12 points and seven boards while Jordan Dinyer had 10 points.
 
MBB: MSSU 83, UCO 78
Missouri Southern got 16 points off of turnovers as they earned a win over Central Oklahoma at home. MSSU also had 15 second chance points as they moved to 3-2 in the league.
 
For the Lions Taevaunn Prince had a double-double scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Austin Wright added 19 points, Cameron Cornellius had 13 points and Greg Renfroe finished with 12 points. For the Bronchos Mahlon Jones had 17 points and Cal Andrews and Seth Heckert each finished with 12 points. Phillip Brown had a double-double as he scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
