KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Defending MIAA regular season and tournament champion Lindenwood has been picked to repeat as the coaches poll was released today. The Lions received five of the total seven first place votes as the head into the 2014 campaign.

Fort Hays State and Northeastern State who tied for second in the league last season in the standings find themselves in the same position as both received the same number of votes and both got a first place nod. Upper Iowa, who made the trip to the KC area for the MIAA Tournament last season, finds themselves picked to finish fourth.

Harding is picked just four points behind them in the number five slot, with Southern Nazarene four points behind that picked to finish sixth. Southwest Baptist has been picked to finish seventh as the season gets ready to begin.

The men’s soccer teams are scheduled to begin taking the field on Sept. 4 as many take on opponents outside the league.
