Kansas City, Mo. – It came down to the final seconds and a missed shot but third seed Missouri Southern defeated second seed Northwest Missouri 70-67 to make the MIAA Championship. MSSU shot .491 from the field to earn a spot in the MIAA Championship game.

For the Lions Marquis Addison had 22 points and added five rebounds. Cameron Cornelius scored 18 points and Jordan Talbert pulled down a team best six rebounds. For the Bearcats Dillon Starzl had 17 points and pulled down a game high eight rebounds. DeShaun Cooper added 16 points and Conner Crooker finished with 11 points.

Missouri Southern will face Central Oklahoma in the MIAA Championship game at 3:30 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
