Kansas City, Mo. – Ninth seed Northeastern State shot .505 from the field in the second half as they upset top seed Central Missouri 84-82. NSU would lead by as much as 15 with eight minutes to play and held on to advance to the semi final round.

For the RiverHawks Bryton Hobbs had 31 points, 29 of which came in the second half, and pulled down nine rebounds. Landon DeMasters added 16 points and Michael Harmon finished with 11 points. For the Mules Charles Hammork had a double-double scoring 10 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Preston Brunz, Daylen Robinson and Dillon Deck each finished with 17 points on the afternoon.

Northeastern State will face the winner of #4 Fort Hays State and #5 Central Oklahoma at 6 p.m. on March 8 from the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
