Lindenwood wins the women's, Southwest Baptist takes the men's

Kansas City, Mo. – Southwest Baptist and Lindenwood split a double-header as the MIAA basketball season marches on.

Lindenwood at Southwest Baptist
WBB – LWU 94, SBU 82
Lindenwood put up 53 points in the second half as they picked up a victory on the road at Southwest Baptist. LWU shot .556 from the field and .556 from behind the three-point line as they moved to 7-8 in league play.

For the Lions Jenny Rocha led the way with 20 points and Kassidy Gengerbacher had 19 points on the night. Morgan Johnson added 17 points and Caroline Bourlioux had 14 points and a team best eight rebounds. For the Bearcats Brook Duncan led all scorers with 28 points while Leann Lansdown added 17 points. Jacqui Zelenka had 12 points and eight rebounds while Sarah Magana added 10 points.

MBB – SBU 66, LWU 61
Southwest Baptist erased a five-point halftime deficit to pick up a win at home over Lindenwood. SBU scored 18 points off of turnover and got 35 points from their bench as they moved to 5-9 in league play.

For the Bearcats David Gabrovsek scored 15 points and Jaywuan Hill had 13 points on the evening. Menas Stephens had a game high 11 rebounds and Preson Guiot dished out five assists. For the Lions Garrett Reed led the way scoring 15 points and pulling down nine rebounds. Darris Smith had 10 points, eight rebounds and dished out six assists.
