Duluth, Minn – In a back and fourth match sixth seeded Nebraska-Kearney fell 3-2 to third seed Southwest Minnesota State in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional. The Lopers fell behind 2-0 to the Mustangs but battled back to knot the match up before falling 15-9 in the deciding set.
 
Bailey Sokolowski and Kaitlyn Thomas led the way for UNK each finished with 10 kills. Katie Weber and Kelle Carver each added nine kills and LaRose Curried finished with seven kills.
 
Erin Seele finished with 47 assists and Liz McGowan added 25 digs while Annie Wolfe finished with 12 digs and Kadie Baumgardner had 11 digs.
 
The Lopers are eliminated from the post season and finished the year with a 27-4 overall record.
