Lopers sweep past Blue Tigers

Kansas City, Mo. – Nebraska-Kearney swept Lincoln in the only league action on the docket during week six.

WBB – UNK 71, LU 50
Nebraska-Kearney held Lincoln to just .250 percent shooting from the field as they picked up a victory at home. UNK beat LU 52-32 on the glass as they moved to 1-2 in the MIAA this season.

For the Lopers Amarah Williams had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sydney Seberger had 12 point as did Sarah Hix while Laramey Lewis and Queen Ohamara added eight rebounds. For the Blue Tigers Angela Randall had a team best 11 total points. On the glass Jaleisha Barrett and Nesha Wright each had seven rebounds.

MBB – UNK 84, LU 58
Nebraska-Kearney put up 48 points in the second half as they picked up a victory at home over Lincoln. UNK shot .485 from the field as they improved to 1-2 in league play this season.

For the Lopers Conner Beranek who had a double-double with 38 points and 17 rebounds. Tyler Shields had 15 points and Mike Dentlinger added 12 points. For the Blue Tigers James Edmond led the way with a double-double scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Mike Smith had 13 points and Jeremy Jackson finished with nine points.
