Kansas City, Mo. – For the second straight week Central Missouri’s Erika Kinsey was named the MIAA Field Athlete of the Week with Lincoln’s LaDonna Richards winning on the track.

Erika Kinsey, Central Missouri
Kinsey won two events this weekend at the Grand Valley Big Meet. First she hit an automatic qualifying mark in the high jump, jumping 6 0.75". She was the only competitors of 21 to AQ. The mark also broke the meet and facility record. She then went on to win the triple jump, jumping an AQ distance of 41 1.5". The freshman multi-event athlete is a native of Nalden, Sweden where she competed at Dragonskolan High School.

MIAA Track Athlete of the Week
LaDonna Richards, Lincoln
Ladonna Richards won two races and improved upon her nationally-best time in the 60m hurdles in the process. Richards won both the preliminaries and the finals of the hurdles at Purdue Universitys Fred Wilt Invitational. Richards won the prelims over 13 DI athletes in 8.42, which now stands as the best time in NCAA Division II, before taking the finals in 8.44. Lincoln was the only non-Division I program that competed in the 60m hurdles. The 5-8 senior sprinter is a native of St. Catherine, Jamaica.
