Brenna Winn was hired as the MIAA's Coordinator for Digital and Strategic Communications in July of 2021. She was promoted to Director of Communications in July of 2022, then elevated to Assistant Commissioner in July of 2023, and named Associate Commissioner in July of 2024. 

Winn oversees all communication and media relations efforts for the conference office. She also manages the MIAA website and MIAA social accounts and works closely with member institution's communication/sports information directors. Winn also assists in the preparation and execution of all MIAA championships and special events.

Since joining the league, Winn has covered 15 NCAA Division II National Championship teams, 73 individual national champions and hundreds of All-Americans and Academic All-Americans. Winn has also served on the Division II Women's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) inaugural 30 Under 30 class in 2022. 

Prior to the MIAA, Winn spent two years as the athletic media relations graduate assistant at MIAA member Central Missouri. During her time in Warrensburg, Winn assisted with public and media relations for all 17 of Central Missouri's intercollegiate programs. She served as the primary contact and marketing communications point person for five programs (men's basketball, men's golf, softball, wrestling and women's soccer). Winn worked with over 70 All-MIAA student-athlete performers, four MIAA regular season champions and four MIAA Tournament championship-winning programs. She also served as a Senior Women's Administrator intern where she assisted in developing online resources and information for current and future UCM student-athletes. Winn graduated with her Master's Degree in sports management from UCM in the Spring of 2021.

Before coming to Missouri, Winn was awarded the NCAA Women & Ethnic Minorities Grant and served as the NCAA Division III Leadership & Development Intern from 2017 to 2019.

Throughout her internship, Winn served many roles while working at her alma mater, Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She began her position as Coe's Athletic Communications and Operations Assistant and quickly transitioned into the Interim Sports Information Director role which she held for six months. 

Winn graduated from Coe College with her Bachelor's Degree in business administration and public relations in spring of 2017. Winn was a NCAA Division III student-athlete, playing both softball and soccer for the Kohawks.
