#1 Fort Hays State vs. #5 Central Missouri
Top seeded Fort Hays State meets fifth seed Central Missouri at 6 p.m. on March 7 in the first of two semi-finals in the MIAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
 
The Tigers defeated Northeastern State 79-53 in the quarterfinal round and now average 74.2 points while allowing 54.2 points per game. They are led by Kate Lehman who is averaging a double-double with 19.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per contest. Chelsea Mason is averaging 12.5 points while Nikola Kacperska is averaging 2.9 assists per game.
 
Central Missouri defeated Missouri Southern 70-64 to earn a spot in the semi’s and are now averaging 69.6 points while allowing opponents 63.4 points per game. They are led by Shelby Winkelmann who is averaging 15.0 points and Revonnia Howard 13.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Justina Prairie Chief is averaging 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds on the year.
 
The winner will advance to play in the MIAA Championship on March 8 at 3:30 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
