#1 Northwest Missouri vs. #5 Pittsburg State
As semifinal Saturday gets into swing top seeded Northwest Missouri will take on #5 Pittsburg State 12 p.m. on March 7.
 
The Bearcats advanced with a 71-61 over Washburn and enter the semi’s averaging 75.1 points and allowing 64.6 points per contest. They are led by MIAA Freshman of the Year Justin Pitts who is averaging 16.4 points per game. Conner Crooker is averaging 14.2 points, Zach Schneider 12.1 points and Grant Cozad 11.9 points per contest.
 
Pittsburg State advanced with a 74-55 victory over Lindenwood and enter the semifinal round averaging 71.1 points and allowing 66.1 points per game. They are led by Josiah Gustafson who is averaging 15.8 points per game on the year. Devon Branch is averaging 14.7 points while Javis Flynn is dishing out 5.2 assists per contest.
 
The winner will advance to play in the MIAA Championship on March 8 at 1 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
